Fisherman's Cove

Fisherman's Cove offers a conveniently located mid-lake access point on the east side of Lake Ellsworth near Elgin. This single-lane concrete ramp was recently rebuilt with a federal grant and is noted as one of the nicest boat ramps on the lake. The facility includes gravel parking and access via Fisherman's Cove Drive, making it straightforward to locate and use.

This location works well for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters launching onto Lake Ellsworth. The ramp provides good water access for paddling the impoundment, which offers protected waters suitable for various skill levels. Be aware that there is an old floating dock at the site that may require repairs, so plan accordingly. The nearby Fisherman's Cove Recreation Area also offers camping facilities, making this a good option for extended paddling trips or family outings.
