Fishermans Point

Fishermans Point, officially known as Sizemore Landing, is a public boat ramp providing access to Tenkiller Ferry Lake and the Illinois River in the Ozark Plateau region of Sequoyah County, Oklahoma. The facility is part of Lake Tenkiller State Park and offers a swim beach and dive park in addition to the boat launch. This is a non-reservable, day-use recreation area suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats.

The Illinois River is a major waterway with significant flow, averaging over 27,000 cubic feet per second with a relatively gentle gradient of 0.3 feet per mile. On the lake itself, paddlers can expect calm, scenic conditions, while the river section offers moderate current suitable for various skill levels. The area is notable for its clear waters in some sections, where divers can explore submerged homesteads and artifacts from before the lake's formation in the 1960s.

The site is conveniently located near other recreation opportunities, including Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge and Webbers Falls Lock and Dam approximately 5 miles northwest. Local fishing is popular, with specific regulations for crappie and other species.
