Fivemile Landing

Fivemile Landing provides boat access to the tranquil waters of Topcock Marsh, a scenic wetland area managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. This free public launch site features a concrete boat ramp suitable for small trailered boats, canoes, and kayaks.

The launch sits along the historic Mohave & Milltown Railroad grade, offering paddlers and boaters a chance to explore the serene marsh habitat. However, it's important to note that this access does not provide direct entry to the main Colorado River channel. Topcock Marsh is a protected backwater area with calmer conditions ideal for casual boating and wildlife viewing.

Hikers and mountain bikers travel along the actual railroad grade for most of the way, although detours are sometimes necessary where the grade has washed away from flooding. OHV and equestrian users follow a route which does not lie on the grade but parallels and frequently crosses the railroad bed.Both routes are marked with signs and rock cairns.
