About This Access Site
Flatrock Park offers a convenient boat launch on the south side of Lake Brownwood, located on FM 2632 just north of the FM 2632/3021 junction in Brown County. The park provides good amenities for paddlers and boaters, including restrooms, showers, a fish-cleaning facility, and a floating boat dock. **Note:** The boat ramp is steep, so exercise caution when water levels are five feet or lower, as launching and retrieval can become difficult.

This is an excellent access point for kayakers and canoeists looking to explore Lake Brownwood, a popular recreation destination that allows motorized boats, water skiing, and jet skis. The surrounding area includes several bait shops and marinas if you need supplies. For a quieter paddling experience, consider visiting early morning hours to avoid peak motorboat traffic. Shore fishing is also available around the park, and multiple camping options with full hookups are available if you're planning an extended visit.
