About This Access Site
Fletcher Gilchrist Park offers a convenient access point to Grand Lake, located in the northwest section of the lake off E County Road 638 in Presque Isle. The facility features a one-lane concrete launch ramp with a loading dock, making it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and small to medium-sized boats. Parking is limited, so arriving early during peak times is recommended.

Grand Lake is a substantial 5,823-acre lake with a maximum depth of 25 feet and 19 islands ranging from small to 263 acres, providing diverse paddling and exploring opportunities. This established access point is popular with anglers and recreational boaters looking to launch in the northwest portion of the lake. If you need additional amenities or have a larger boat, the E Grand Lake Road launch on the southeast section offers a two-lane ramp with more parking options.
