Fletcher Lake

Fletcher Lake in Kewanna, Fulton County offers a public boat access point on the north end of this shallow water body. The lake is ideal for paddlers and anglers, with most areas less than 10 feet deep and abundant aquatic vegetation that provides good cover for largemouth bass, northern pike, and other game fish.

**Access and Parking Details:** Enter via Canal Road and look for the Abner Cloud House on your left to locate the narrow ramp entrance. Two parking options are available: an upper lot near the ramp, or a lower parking area accessible through a tunnel that leads to dock access. Note that boats on roof racks may not fit through the tunnel—in those cases, park along the canal and carry your vessel over the bridge and down to the cove. This arrangement works well for kayaks and canoes.

**Paddling Notes:** The lake's shallow depth and vegetation make it suitable for small craft like kayaks and canoes. Avoid paddling upstream toward the chain bridge area, where currents are notably stronger. The calm, vegetated coves make this a good spot for fishing and peaceful paddling.
