Fletcher Pond offers a well-maintained public boat launch on the north shore, accessible via Miller Road (Fishing Site Rd.) near Hillman in Alpena County. The hard surface ramp features a cement launch pad with dock, capacity for two boats at loading, vault toilets, and ample parking for approximately 46 vehicles. This makes it a convenient starting point for paddlers and boaters of all experience levels.

The 9,000-acre pond is ideal for kayakers and canoeists seeking a peaceful paddling experience. The water is characterized by extensive stumps, weeds, and heavy aquatic vegetation throughout, which provides excellent fish habitat but also requires careful navigation. The pond's shallow, weedy conditions make it unsuitable for jet skis and large powerboats, ensuring a quieter water environment. Anglers will find black crappie, bluegill, largemouth bass, northern pike, pumpkinseed, and yellow perch.
