The FM 2461 access point provides a free, year-round boat ramp on Wright Patman Lake near the Sulphur River channel in Douglassville. Anglers should note that bighead carp have been confirmed in the Sulphur River below Wright Patman Dam.
For extended trips, Malden Lake Campground is available within 10 miles for reservation, offering a nearby camping option. The area provides ample opportunity for boating, fishing, water skiing, and paddling across the expansive lake.
