About This Access Site
Located 4 miles east of Texas Highway 87 off FM 276 in Milam, this boat ramp provides year-round access to Toledo Bend Reservoir on the Sabine River. The facility features a one-lane ramp suitable for all boat types and is operated by the Sabine River Authority of Texas. A fee is required for access. Toledo Bend Reservoir is a major water body offering excellent paddling and boating opportunities. The Sabine River system drains nearly 9,600 square miles and features an average flow of over 9,100 cubic feet per second, making it a substantial waterway. With approximately 33 public access areas on the Texas side of the reservoir, paddlers have multiple launch and take-out options. Boles Field Campground is available within 10 miles for those planning overnight trips. Note that a new two-lane ramp facility (Phase 2) was scheduled to open in summer 2024, which may provide expanded capacity at this location.
