Forbes Lake

Forbes Lake Boat Ramp, located in Stephen A. Forbes State Recreation Area near Omega in Marion County, provides convenient water access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The launch facility offers straightforward access to Forbes Lake and connects to the Lost Fork waterway system, making it suitable for paddlers of various skill levels seeking a calm water paddling experience.

The area supports multiple recreational activities including fishing and boating. Largemouth bass are stocked annually, attracting anglers to the lake. A marina operates on the lake offering rentals and additional services. Note that swimming is prohibited at most areas of the lake, and alcoholic beverages are restricted in the Rocky Point Area.
