The Weymouth Landing is a small, tree-lined public access point offering a steep concrete ramp suitable for launching canoes, kayaks, and other car-top boats onto the Fore River. Located on the south side of the river in Weymouth, this grassy facility provides a convenient entry point for paddlers exploring the Fore River's lower reaches toward Hingham Harbor.
**Access and Regulations:** Note that tie-up time at the launching ramp is limited to 15 minutes. All vessels using the Weymouth Back River or Fore River are subject to the Harbormaster's discretion, so paddlers planning to anchor or moor should contact the Harbormaster beforehand. A public launching ramp is also available on the north side of the river approximately 1.5 miles upstream if you prefer an alternative access point.
**Nearby Recreation:** The Fore River offers paddlers access to a scenic waterway connecting to Hingham Harbor, with proximity to Adams National Historical Park and the broader Charles River watershed system. This area is part of Massachusetts' extensive network of over 1,200 miles of seashore and inland waterways managed by the Office of Fishing and Boating Access.
