About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** Forestville Dam Park is located at 475 Mill Road in the town of Forestville, just outside the Village of Forestville in southern Door County. From the village, head west on County Highway J, then north on Mill Road—the park entrance is approximately a quarter mile ahead on your left. The site features ample parking and a single-lane boat launch.

**Water Conditions & Activities:** The Forestville Flowage is a shallow millpond approximately 1.5 miles long and an eighth of a mile wide, with a maximum depth of just 5 feet, making it ideal for kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards. The calm waters provide a relaxing paddle suitable for paddlers of all skill levels. The flowage connects to the Ahnapee River and the Ahnapee Trail system, offering opportunities to explore downstream. Anglers will find Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, and Northern Pike.

**Facilities:** The park offers a fishing pier (ADA compliant), a playground, a pavilion, and fishing access along the dam and creek. The peaceful atmosphere and natural setting make this an excellent spot for leisurely paddling, family outings, and accessing the broader Ahnapee Trail network.
