The ramp facilitates entry to the Ohio River's Belleville Pool, a navigable waterway extending upstream to Belleville Locks & Dam.
Boaters should be aware of motorized vessel restrictions in this area—boats over 10 HP must operate at no-wake speeds to protect the environment. Paddlers will find this location ideal for exploring the Ohio River's navigational pools, with upstream access extending 41.5 miles to Willow Island Locks & Dam and downstream access available via the Racine Pool (34 miles to Belleville Locks & Dam).
