Fort Hood Recreation Area offers a convenient boat ramp for accessing Belton Lake via Cowhouse Creek in the Belton area of Bell County. This U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-operated facility features a two-lane concrete ramp with parking available for vehicles and trailers. The ramp provides free access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats looking to launch into the lake system.
To reach the access point from Belton, take FM 439 west from Texas 317 and follow park signs to the launch area on the east shore of the lake.
