About This Access Site
Fort Yargo State Park's West boat ramp provides convenient access to the Marbury Creek Impoundment, a 260-acre lake within the park. This ramp is well-suited for kayaks, canoes, and small motorized boats up to 10 horsepower. The lake offers a peaceful setting for paddling, fishing, and other water recreation.

The boat ramp has a paved launch area and adjacent docks, making it easy to load and unload your watercraft. Parking is available nearby. While the lake's size and relatively calm waters are generally favorable for paddlers, be aware that motorized boats may also be present. The park offers rentals of kayaks, canoes, and other small vessels if you don't have your own.

Beyond the boat ramp, Fort Yargo State Park features hiking trails, a swimming beach, and camping areas, making it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The nearby Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest also provides additional opportunities for exploration and recreation.
