About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** Fox Landing is a public boat ramp located in Grantsburg, Burnett County, providing access to the Saint Croix River. The ramp is approximately 20 feet wide and suitable for launching most types of watercraft, including kayaks, canoes, and motorboats.

**Paddling & River Conditions:** This is an excellent access point for paddling the scenic Saint Croix River stretch. The river splits into two channels at a long island formed by the Kettle River confluence—the east channel features more pronounced Class 2 rapids and additional landing options, while both channels offer Class 2 whitewater. From Head of Rapids Landing to Fox Landing via the east channel is approximately 1.6 miles, making this a manageable paddle for intermediate paddlers. The area is popular for recreational kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and boating.

**Planning Your Trip:** The Saint Croix River is managed by the National Park Service, which divides the Riverway into four federal camping zones with varying management policies. Check the NPS website for interactive river maps and current conditions before your trip. This is a well-maintained public access point and a popular starting or take-out location for paddlers exploring this scenic stretch of river.
