F.W. Spencer Community Park

The Frank W. Spencer Park boat ramp provides easy access to the Wilmington River near Savannah, Georgia. This tidal river is navigable by kayaks, canoes, and small motorized boats. The ramp is located along an alcove off the main river, offering sheltered launching and docking.

The park itself is not a federal facility, but it is located close to Fort Pulaski National Monument, which features a visitor center with exhibits on the area's history. While the boat ramp is free to use, there are no other amenities at the site itself. Paddlers and boaters will need to plan accordingly for their trip.

The Wilmington River is a relatively wide, slow-moving tidal waterway that flows into the Savannah River and eventually the Atlantic Ocean. Its calm waters and proximity to Savannah make it a popular destination for recreational boating, fishing, and wildlife viewing.
