Freeman Creek is a public boat access point on Dworshak Reservoir along the North Fork Clearwater River in central Idaho. Located near Lenore in a scenic, forested mountain setting, this facility offers a straightforward launch option for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats accessing the 50-mile-long reservoir. The ramp includes basic amenities with a restroom available on-site, though there are no docks or running water at this location.
To reach Freeman Creek from Orofino, take State Highway 7 west toward Dworshak Dam. After crossing the North Fork Clearwater River, follow signs directing you to the dam and access area. For boaters needing additional services—such as fuel, dock space, or overnight moorage—the marina is located approximately 5 nautical miles from the launch. Space reservations and information about marina services can be obtained by calling 208-476-3132 or 208-476-5994. The nearby Dworshak State Park Three Meadows Group Camp provides camping options for multi-day trips.
