French Creek State Park

The Scotts Run Lake boat ramp at French Creek State Park provides concrete access to this scenic 22-acre lake located in Pine Swamp, Berks County. The ramp is approximately 20 feet wide and is well-suited for launching small boats, kayaks, canoes, and fishing craft. This is the primary public access point for Scotts Run Lake.

**Important Regulations:** Only electric motors are permitted on Scotts Run Lake, and all boating must observe slow, no-wake speed restrictions. Seasonal boat mooring spaces are available from April 1 through November 1. The park also offers a permanent Orienteering course that begins and ends near the boat launch area, adding an additional recreational option for visitors.

French Creek State Park encompasses multiple water bodies and recreational facilities in the historic Pine Swamp area. Nearby Hopewell Lake (68 acres) offers additional boating and fishing opportunities, and the park preserves the landscape of the historic Hopewell Furnace iron plantation (1771-1883), providing cultural context for your visit.
