About This Access Site
Fresno Beach provides public boat access to Fresno Reservoir on the Milk River, located approximately 14 miles west of Havre, Montana. The site features a concrete boat ramp, paved parking lot, and restroom facilities situated directly south of Fresno Dam. This is a day-use area with no fees, making it an accessible launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. The reservoir spans 7,388 surface acres with 65 miles of shoreline, offering ample room for paddling and exploration.

The reservoir is well-known for fishing opportunities targeting walleye, northern pike, and perch, and the extensive shoreline is accessible for both bank and boat-based recreation. Picnic shelters and swimming beach facilities are available on-site. For those seeking overnight accommodations, camping is available on adjacent Bureau of Reclamation-administered land.
