Friendship Farm Landing is a public boat ramp located in the 382-acre Friendship Farm Park in Nanjemoy, Charles County, Maryland. Situated approximately four miles upstream from the main stem of the Potomac River on scenic Nanjemoy Creek, this ramp offers a sheltered launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The tidal creek provides excellent fishing opportunities for bass, white perch, and yellow perch, making it a popular destination for anglers as well as paddlers seeking a quieter alternative to launching directly on the main river.
The facility is open year-round from dawn to dusk and provides easy access to both the creek and river systems. One acre surrounding the boat launch is designated as a free-fishing area where anglers do not require a fishing license. From La Plata, take Route 6 West, then turn left on Route 425 and left again on Friendship Landing Road to reach the site. In addition to the boat ramp, Friendship Farm Park offers hiking trails and other recreational amenities, making it a good base for exploring the area's natural resources.
