About This Access Site
Gallup Park offers an accessible boat launch on the Huron River in Ann Arbor, featuring an EZ Launch transfer system designed for universal accessibility. This is an excellent starting point for paddlers of all abilities, with the livery on-site offering canoe and kayak rentals, instruction programs, and guided outings. You can paddle the scenic 2-mile Argo Pond or venture downstream along the Huron River Water Trail toward Delhi Metropark or Hudson Mills Metropark.

The park's location provides easy access to the Huron River's gentle, paddler-friendly character. Note that the park is bordered by Michigan Line railroad tracks, which may obstruct some access points. Most facilities fall within Ann Arbor city limits. The surrounding area features the scenic Nichols Arboretum and is ideal for a full day of paddling, especially for paddlers seeking calm water and beginner-friendly conditions. Contact the on-site livery for rental availability, lesson options, and current conditions before your visit.
