Located in Flagler Beach, this state recreation area provides convenient access to the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway via a boat ramp situated at the east end of the boat channel. The facility accommodates a variety of watercraft including motorboats, canoes, and kayaks, making it a versatile launch point for recreational boating and fishing on the Intracoastal. Note that the ramp has sustained some damage but remains accessible; kayakers and canoeists may find the dedicated canoe/kayak launch area particularly useful.
The park offers excellent amenities for paddlers planning extended trips, including restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, and picnic pavilions on the waterway side. A nature trail and observation areas are also available on-site. Campers can reserve one of 68 campsites (34 on the primary dune, 34 on the riverside) up to 11 months in advance through the Florida State Parks reservation system. For visitors arriving by vehicle, note that RV and trailer access uses separate exits (284 or 268) from Interstate 95. The Intracoastal Waterway provides a popular paddling corridor for both day trips and longer expeditions.
