About This Access Site
The Games Lake North access point, located in New London in Kandiyohi County, provides a convenient boat ramp for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorboats. This is one of two public access sites on Games Lake, with this northern location offering a dedicated launch facility. The site is suitable for recreational paddling and boating, with typical boat ramps accommodating vessels up to 12-18 feet depending on water conditions.

The access area is part of a well-developed recreation area featuring amenities including restrooms, picnic tables, a shelter, and grills—useful for planning a full day on the water. A nature trail and hiking/biking trails are available for pre- or post-paddle exploration. Games Lake features a channel connecting to nearby Norway Lake, offering paddlers the option to explore multiple water bodies. Note that a 30-acre Aquatic Management Area borders the north shore, which helps preserve natural habitat. Camping is available seasonally (May-September), though availability may be limited outside this period—contact the county parks for current information and rates.
