George Barker Jr. Park offers convenient public access to Clear Lake, a scenic cypress-lined lake in Orlando known for its abundant water bird populations. The seven-acre park features a well-maintained boat ramp with seven lanes of access across three separate facilities, making it ideal for launching kayaks, canoes, and larger boats. The ramp area includes ample free parking (106 spaces for vehicles with trailers), two boarding floats, and spacious maneuvering areas—all located just steps from the water.
Beyond the ramp itself, the park provides excellent amenities for a full day on the water. Amenities include two fishing piers, a boardwalk, walking trails, restrooms, and multiple picnic pavilions. The north shore location offers cypress-lined scenery typical of central Florida lakes, with calm conditions suitable for paddlers of various skill levels. Note that there are no carry-down walkways at this facility, so boats must be launched via the ramp.
