About This Access Site
Gillette Campground offers a well-developed concrete boat launch providing direct access to Lake Gillette, a scenic mountain lake situated at 3,147 feet elevation in the Colville National Forest. Located approximately 23 miles east of Colville, WA, the ramp is part of a day-use area that includes a developed swim beach with buoys, multiple picnic areas, and paved parking. The boat launch is easily accessible from any campsite, making it convenient for both day-use visitors and overnight campers.

Lake Gillette is a popular destination for kayaking, canoeing, and boating, with some shoreline access available around the lake. The area is stocked with tiger trout and rainbow trout, attracting anglers alongside paddlers. The campground operates seasonally (typically mid-May through September) and offers both reservable and first-come, first-served campsites with standard amenities including fire rings, picnic tables, and restroom facilities. The surrounding lodgepole pine and tamarack forest provides scenic paddling conditions and excellent opportunities for hiking and bicycling when not on the water.
