About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** Glendo Reservoir's boat ramp is located 3 miles southeast of the town of Glendo in Platte County, accessible via I-25 and County Road 17 (Glendo Park Road). An additional ramp is located below Glendo Dam near the powerplant, providing access to the North Platte River downstream. The reservoir offers six public boat ramps total within Glendo State Park.

**Water Conditions & Recreation:** Glendo Reservoir spans approximately 12,000 surface acres of water, making it suitable for both motorized and non-motorized boating, including kayaking and canoeing. However, water levels fluctuate seasonally, so some ramps are open year-round while others are seasonal only. Paddlers should check current reservoir levels before visiting and be aware that navigational hazards may exist due to these fluctuations. The reservoir sits on the North Platte River with scenic views of the 10,272-foot Laramie Peak and supports healthy populations of walleye, yellow perch, and channel catfish.

**Amenities:** Glendo State Park provides 19 campgrounds, five courtesy docks, and a marina concession, making it a convenient destination for extended paddling trips. The area is also popular for hiking and biking around the reservoir's 10,000 acres of surrounding land.
