About This Access Site
Glendo Reservoir Marina provides boat ramp access to approximately 12,000 acres of water, making it a popular destination for both motorized and non-motorized boating. Located in Glendo State Park near the base of 10,272-foot Laramie Peak, the marina is one of six public boat ramps serving the reservoir. The site offers courtesy docks and is well-suited for kayaking, canoeing, and general recreational boating across a large water body with varied conditions.

**Important considerations:** Water levels at Glendo fluctuate seasonally, creating shifting navigational hazards throughout the reservoir. Boaters should check current water levels and conditions before launching, as these directly affect safety and accessibility. An additional boat ramp below the Glendo Dam (across from the powerplant) provides access to the North Platte River downstream if you're interested in river paddling. The area is also excellent for wildlife viewing, as the reservoir serves as an important resting and feeding area for wetland birds. Plan ahead and verify current conditions, as seasonal water level changes significantly impact where you can safely paddle.
