This boat ramp provides access to Glendo Reservoir, a 12,000-acre impoundment of the North Platte River located in southeastern Wyoming near the town of Glendo. The ramp is one of six public launch points at the state park, making it a reliable option for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. The reservoir is scenic, nestled within view of the 10,272-foot Laramie Peak and serving as important habitat for waterfowl and other wildlife.
Before launching, be aware that Glendo Reservoir experiences seasonal water level fluctuations that can create navigational hazards. Boaters should check current water conditions before heading out to ensure safe paddling. Both motorized and non-motorized watercraft are welcome. The park's extensive shoreline and 12,000 acres of water offer ample exploration opportunities for day paddlers and extended trips. Additional facilities at the state park include hiking and biking trails, interpretive areas, and courtesy docks at multiple locations.
