About This Access Site
Go Sail is a full-service boat access point located in Dayton (Big Arm area) on Flathead Lake, Montana's largest freshwater lake. This 28-mile-long lake offers excellent opportunities for kayakers, canoeists, and sailboaters alike, with convenient access just off US-93 near Glacier National Park. The facility provides sailboat rentals, kayak and paddleboard rentals, sailing lessons, and guided charters, making it an ideal launch point for both experienced paddlers and beginners.

The lake features numerous scenic attractions including several islands, protected bays, and views of the Mission Mountains. May through September is considered the prime paddling and sailing season when conditions are most favorable. Nearby destinations worth exploring include Wild Horse Island State Park and various lake bays accessible from the launch area. Paddlers should be aware of seasonal water level fluctuations and plan accordingly, though year-round access is available at some nearby locations like Sportsman's Bridge if needed.
