About This Access Site
**Access & Facilities**
Goose Pond Park offers public boat access via a dedicated ramp located on the southwestern shore, just north of the pond's outlet. To reach the launch, take Forest Street south from Route 20 (just east of the turnpike interchange) for about two miles. The site includes parking lots and a small public beach, providing convenient amenities for paddlers and boaters launching onto Goose Pond.

**Pond Character & Recreation**
Goose Pond is a scenic inland water body offering opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, and recreational boating. The pond features two islands—"The Big Island" and "The Little Island"—which provide interesting exploration opportunities. Additionally, a secondary public beach is available near the southern dam. Please note that boats should not be left tied up at the ramp area except during loading and unloading.

**Nearby Paddling Options**
The area offers additional water-based recreation nearby, including Union Village Dam and over 6 miles of river suitable for paddling and fishing for stocked brown and rainbow trout as well as natural brook trout.
