About This Access Site
Gordon Gulch is a year-round boat ramp and day-use area located within Lake Owyhee State Park, approximately 2 miles south of Owyhee Dam in Malheur County, Oregon. The ramp provides access to Lake Owyhee Reservoir with adequate water depth (27+ feet over the ramp bottom) and installed docks for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. The day-use area includes picnic tables, making it a convenient spot for a full day on the water.

This is the primary access point for paddlers exploring Lake Owyhee's remote volcanic landscape. Owyhee Paddle Co. operates seasonally (weekends) from this location, offering kayak and paddleboard rentals if you don't have your own gear. The calm reservoir waters make it suitable for paddlers of various skill levels. For those seeking additional access points, Indian Creek Boat Ramp is located 4 miles south and features overflow parking and a fish cleaning station.
