Grand Lake

This improved boat ramp facility on Grand Lake in St. Mary Parish provides convenient access via McGregor Road (accessed from East Lake Road). The recently upgraded DNR project includes a full-service boat launch with a dedicated ramp, parking for vehicles and trailers, restroom facilities, and handicap-accessible infrastructure. The site is well-suited for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters launching onto Grand Lake.

Grand Lake is located in the scenic "Cajun Coast" region near the Bayou Teche National Wildlife Refuge, offering paddlers opportunities to explore the unique wetland environment of coastal Louisiana. The area also provides recreational amenities beyond boating, including picnic areas and sunset viewing opportunities. This access point makes an excellent starting location for exploring Grand Lake and the surrounding bayou system.
