About This Access Site
Granddad Creek provides a remote boat launch on Dworshak Reservoir in the North Fork Clearwater River area of Idaho's Rocky Mountains. The access point is part of the Granddad Recreation Area, which offers shoreline access and basic launching facilities. A marina with fuel is available approximately 5 nautical miles from the ramp, and overnight boat moorage options exist for extended trips. For dock space reservations or additional facility information, contact the marina at 208-476-3132 or 208-476-5994.

**Access Note:** The approach to Granddad Creek is via a remote 27-mile gravel road (Silver Creek Road) that can be extremely rough and difficult, particularly during wet conditions. This is an isolated location best suited for experienced boaters prepared for rugged access roads. Plan accordingly and ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain. The remote setting makes this ideal for paddlers and boaters seeking solitude on the reservoir, but supplies and services should be obtained before arriving at the ramp.
