The 3,500-acre reservoir offers a scenic setting with multiple parking areas spread around the lake, making it convenient for day trips or extended visits.
Grayrocks Reservoir is part of the North Platte Project system and offers calm water conditions suitable for kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating. The area provides excellent recreation opportunities with camping and fishing access at twelve different parking areas around the shoreline. If arriving from the north via WY-160 near Fort Laramie, note that approximately 6 miles of the approach road is unpaved and may have rough surface conditions—plan accordingly if towing a boat.
