The Grayrocks Reservoir West boat ramp is a two-lane concrete launch located mid-lake on the south side, accessible via Grayrocks Road. The ramp features a dock and gravel parking area, making it convenient for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats launching onto this 3,600-acre reservoir in Platte County, Wyoming. The site is one of three boat ramps around the lake, all maintained with handicap-accessible amenities.
This access point offers paddlers straightforward entry onto a large, relatively calm reservoir setting—ideal for recreational paddling, fishing, and day trips. The surrounding area provides twelve parking areas around the reservoir with vault toilets, dumpsters, and multiple comfort stations. Nearby camping and dispersed camping sites make this a good base for multi-day trips. Note that access from Fort Laramie via WY-160 includes about 6 miles of rough gravel road, so plan your route accordingly.
