About This Access Site
This boat ramp provides convenient access to Western Lake's brackish waters, located at the eastern end of Hotz Avenue, just two blocks east of the Red Bar in Grayton Beach. The facility includes both a boat ramp and dock, making it an ideal launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and paddleboarders exploring the scenic lake. The calm, protected waters of Western Lake are well-suited for paddling of all skill levels.

Western Lake is set within the nearly 2,000-acre Grayton Beach State Park, consistently ranked among Florida's most beautiful beaches. In addition to paddling opportunities, the area offers excellent fishing for both freshwater and saltwater species. Visitors can extend their trip by exploring the park's 4 miles of scenic trails through coastal forest habitat featuring salt-twisted scrub oaks and magnolias. Plan to call ahead if you need special accommodations or want to confirm current conditions before your visit.
