About This Access Site
**Location & Access**
Great Oak Landing is located on Fairlee Creek in Chestertown, Maryland. The boat ramp is situated at 22170 Great Oak Landing Road; note that you'll need to drive approximately 3/10ths of a mile back along Great Oak Landing Road to reach the actual launch facility. The site sits within a larger marina complex on Fairlee Creek with extensive amenities.

**Navigating Fairlee Creek**
Fairlee Creek has a history of shoaling, particularly at its mouth where depths of 5-9 feet are typical outside, dropping to 4-7 feet inside the creek. If entering from the Chesapeake Bay main channel, exit at flashing red buoy 32 and set a magnetic course of 129 degrees for about 1.2 miles to reach the creek entrance marked by flashing red 2F. Carefully placed private navigation aids help identify the deepest water channels. Kayakers and canoeists should be mindful of these shallow areas when planning trips.

**Facility & Amenities**
Great Oak Landing offers a full-service marina experience with 350 boat slips, making it a well-established launch point for larger vessels. The complex includes a 28-room lodge, swimming, fishing, exercise facilities, and golf—ideal if you're planning an extended stay. The 70-acre property provides ample space for water-based recreation.
