Gridley Lake offers public boat ramp access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters in the Philadelphia area of Cass County, Illinois. The day use area features an accessible boat ramp along with a wooden fishing pier located approximately 100 feet from the parking lot. Trolling motors and canoes are permitted on the water.
Anglers should note that an Illinois fishing license and Inland Trout stamp are required. The lake supports seasonal trout harvest (spring season begins the 1st Saturday in April; fall season begins the 3rd Saturday in October), and wade fishing is also permitted. Visitors should be aware that the wooden fishing pier can become slippery when wet or icy, so appropriate footwear is recommended.
