Located approximately 14 miles west of Grants Pass via Highway 199 and Riverbanks Road, Griffin Park offers convenient access to the Rogue River for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. The facility features a functional boat ramp, day-use parking ($5 fee), vault toilets, and a spacious riverbank perfect for launching and landing small craft. The park's generous river access area makes it suitable for both launching paddling trips and simply enjoying the water from shore.
Griffin Park serves as a popular gateway for exploring the scenic Rogue River corridor, including access to the Wild & Scenic River sections and the Galice-Hellgate Backcountry Byway. The park also offers camping facilities and a picnic shelter, making it a good base for multi-day paddling adventures. Note that vault toilets are the only facilities available—there is no water or power on-site. The park is well-known for seasonal hydroplane racing events on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends, which may impact access and parking during those periods.
