About This Access Site
The Groundhog Reservoir State Wildlife Area in Dolores County, Colorado provides a boat ramp access point to Groundhog Creek. This medium-sized headwater stream has an average flow of around 32 cubic feet per second and a fairly steep gradient of over 260 feet per mile.

The boat ramp is located approximately 31 miles north-northeast of the town of Dolores, accessible via County Roads 31 and H. Launching and use of vessels may be allowed at this site as posted by Colorado Parks and Wildlife. Trailered boats must be launched from the designated CPW boat ramp. Be aware that powered watercraft may require inspection prior to use.
