Guana River Recreation Area - Dam Site - Lake Access Ramp

The Guana River Recreation Area Dam Site offers a convenient launching point for paddlers and boaters accessing Guana Lake near St. Augustine. This location features two small boat ramps suitable for kayaks, canoes, and small motorboats. The site is part of the GTM National Estuarine Research Reserve and provides entry to a scenic coastal waterway. Note that water levels can affect accessibility, so conditions should be checked before your trip.

**Important Seasonal Restrictions:** From November 10 through February 10, boating access is limited—boats launched at the dam may not travel more than two miles north during this period, as the Six Mile Landing is seasonally closed. An entrance fee applies at the dam (free for Management Area permit holders).
