About This Access Site
This boat ramp near Grand Marais provides convenient access to Gull Lake in Cook County. The facility includes a vault toilet and is located across from the ranger office, with additional amenities nearby including a swimming beach and recreational facilities. The ramp can accommodate boats up to 25 feet, making it suitable for motorboats, canoes, and kayaks.

The access point sits at the outlet of Gull Lake where the Gull River begins, making it an ideal starting location for paddlers exploring the lake or river system. Note that this is a day-use area with no reservations required. Backcountry camping is available on Loon Lake (accessible by water), which operates on a first-come, first-served basis with single-party sites that include fire grates and latrines. Nearby Trails End Campground offers additional overnight accommodations if you need services with your visit.

There is one site on this lake, each have a fire grate, a latrine and may have a picnic table. A few reminders: Hang food packs, put your fire out each time you leave your campsite, treat or boil all water, wash yourself and dishes...
