Gunderson Lake State Water Access Site offers a concrete boat ramp on the northeast shore of this 146-183 acre lake in Itasca County, near Bigfork. The single-lane ramp is 18 feet wide and includes a loading dock for convenient watercraft launching and loading. The lake has a maximum depth of 36-41 feet with moderate water clarity (Secchi disk reading of 11 feet), making it suitable for recreational boating and fishing.
This public access point is free to use and can accommodate boats up to 12-18 feet, depending on water conditions. The lake is moderately developed and located about 7 miles north of Talmoon off Highway 6. Before planning a trip, check current conditions and any seasonal closures through Minnesota's Lake Finder tool or contact local parks management, as access may be periodically closed for maintenance.
