Gunlock Lake

Gunlock Lake is a 264-acre public boat ramp located in Minocqua, Vilas County, offering convenient access for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The paved ramp provides straightforward launching for all vessel types. The lake reaches a maximum depth of 26 feet and supports a diverse fishery including musky, walleye, northern pike, largemouth and smallmouth bass, and panfish.

**Before heading out**, be aware that the lake has low water clarity and is home to aquatic invasive species, including Chinese mystery snails and purple loosestrife. Boaters should take precautions to prevent the spread of invasives between water bodies.
