About This Access Site
Half Moon Lake provides public boat access to the Mosinee Flowage, a 716-acre impoundment on the Wisconsin River in Marathon County. The ramp is conveniently located off River Road on the east side of the river, making it an accessible launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and larger boats. The flowage features a maximum depth of 18 feet and offers scenic paddling with excellent conditions for exploring this portion of the Wisconsin River system.

This landing is ideal for recreational paddlers seeking diverse fishing opportunities or scenic river exploration.
