About This Access Site
**Location & Access**
Halsted Bay is a public boat launch located on Halsted Drive in Mound, on the west end of Halsted Bay—the westernmost inlet of Lake Minnetonka. This excellent public access point serves kayakers, canoeists, paddleboarders, and motorboats, with free on-street parking available along Halsted Drive.

**Facilities & Launch Details**
The Halsted Bay boat ramp can accommodate two boats at a time, making it convenient for multiple users. As part of the larger Lake Minnetonka system, this protected bay location is ideal for paddlers of various skill levels. The bay is fed by Six Mile Creek from the west and is connected to the main lake via a historic dredged channel (established in 1880 through Priest's Bay), offering paddlers access to explore both the sheltered bay and broader lake waters.
