About This Access Site
Hanson Harbor offers a convenient public boat launch on Franklin D. Roosevelt Lake near Wilbur in Lincoln County. The facility includes a boat ramp, vault toilets, an information kiosk, parking area, and picnic tables. This is a good access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats looking to explore Lake Roosevelt, a large reservoir created by Grand Coulee Dam on the Columbia River.

Before launching, check the current lake level at the boat launch—the yellow water level indicator must be above the red line to safely access the ramp. All watercraft require a boat launch permit. The area experiences variable water levels due to dam operations, so conditions can change seasonally.

Two campgrounds are nearby within 10 miles: Keller Ferry Campground (concessionaire-operated) and Jones Bay Campground (reservable). Be aware that aquatic invasive species inspections may be conducted at this access point. For current conditions and lake level information, consult the Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area resources before your trip.
