About This Access Site
Harbor Bay Marina offers a well-maintained two-lane concrete boat ramp with ample parking for approximately 50 vehicles, making it a convenient access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters on Lake Ray Hubbard. The marina is located in a protected harbor setting and serves as one of the premier launch facilities on this 22,745-acre reservoir formed by the Rockwall-Forney Dam on the East Fork Trinity River. The facility also features 350 boat slips for those interested in short or long-term mooring.

**Directions:** From I-30, take the Horizon/Ridge Road exit, turn left on Horizon, cross the interstate, pass the service road, then turn left onto Windjammer Way and follow it to the lake. The site is easily accessible from the Dallas area and provides a good launching point for exploring the expansive water body. Lake Ray Hubbard offers diverse recreational opportunities including fishing, wildlife watching, and paddling across its calm, reservoir-style waters—ideal conditions for canoes and kayaks compared to river paddling.

For paddlers interested in nearby attractions, the Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary in McKinney offers nature trails and exhibits that complement a day on the water.
