About This Access Site
Located on the northern side of Harbor Island, this established boat launch provides direct access to the Grand River's main channel. Built in 1962 and significantly improved between 1998-2002, the facility features a paved access road (Coho Drive), expanded parking lot, dredged channels to accommodate deeper-draft boats, and public restrooms. The ramp is suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats seeking to launch onto the main Grand River.
**Access Requirements:** A launch pass is required to use this facility. Daily and seasonal passes are available, with daily passes sold on-site at the ramp. The improved facilities and maintained parking area make this a convenient access point for paddlers and boaters of all skill levels exploring the Grand River system in the Grand Haven area.
